Genesis 3:20 “And Adam called his wife’s name Eve, because she was the mother of all living.”
Father, in Your mercy and justice, Adam changed his wife’s name from woman to Eve. It was a mighty act of faith as he transformed her name to a title that means “life”. She was set on a course of punishment by her own chooses, yet life was spoken over her. No matter the depths of our sin or other’s sin, may we always hear Your voice declaring Truth and Mercy. Adam recognized the hope even in the punishment that Eve was given knowing that her Seed(Yahushua HaMashiach) would crush the serpent(satan) one day. You didn’t curse Adam or Eve but You did curse the serpent. There is hope of redemption in every man and woman only through the blood of The Seed.
Let hope arise as we remember to declare that Your mercies are new every morning, great is Your faithfulness! Spirit, split open our hearts and pour in Your REVELATIONS about the redeeming work You are doing in us, Your Bride. Don’t let us get stuck on the penalties of our sin, rather let us think on the majesty of the love You have for us. You gave Your Bride a name change from sinner to saint through the finished work at Calvary by The Seed. Teach us again today to be quick to repent and forgive so not to allow any bitter or deadly seed root in and take us captive. Let us be people who focus on life just like Adam did when he was facing the depths of the consequences of their sin. May we, with humility and by Your power, man up and take responsibility for all we do and say, while speaking life into the very situation we have been broken in. May glory come to You in all we do and say as Your mercy and grace abound. In Yahushua HaMashiach’s name. (Jesus the Messiah)
