Matthew 4:8-11 “Again, the devil took Him up on an exceedingly high mountain, and showed Him all the kingdoms of the world and their glory. And he said to Him, ‘All these things I will give You if You will fall down and worship me.’ Then Jesus said to him, ‘Away with you, Satan! For it is written, ‘You shall worship the Lord your God, and Him only you shall serve.’ Then the devil left Him, and behold, angels came and ministered to Him.’ ”
Father, how quickly we can become distracted from You and Your Ways when the temptations of this world cause our wondering eyes to give in to its twinkling treasures. After our indulgences, it is the same outcome every time… a realization that nothing of this world can ever satisfy the longing in our heart. Rather, this affair with the world brings us to depths of depression, sadness, and emptiness. There is only one key that can be inserted into the core of our being. This truth key is available for all … yet not accepted by all. There comes with it an exchange, a surrender.
Jesus, You taught us well about this key. You proved Yourself before Father over and over again. Not Your will but always the full and complete surrender to Father’s Will. You knew Your position in the beautiful fellowship with Father. It was Your desire to know the depths of Father’s heart as You sought Him day and night. Jesus, You are the Way, the Truth and the Life. You are the key to fellowship with Father in our hearts.
Spirit, grow in us a hunger to be in communion with Father as You open the eyes of our heart to see the depths of His great love and provision. In You we will be given our daily bread so we may be fed and led into the paths of righteousness every time. We are famished for Your REVELATIONS of worshiping Father at new heights and as we go to new depths of humility in service to Him. May this communion cause us to love and serve others with the most beautiful expressions of Your Word manifesting in our world as a magnificent display of Your Kingdom coming and Your Will being done. All for Your glory and honor. In Yahushua HaMashiach’s name. (Jesus the Messiah)
