Genesis 4:2 “Then she bore again, this time his brother Abel. Now Abel was a keeper of sheep, but Cain was a tiller of the ground.”

Father, you’ve preordained what Your children are to do on this earth. As the first two offspring born on earth, Cain and Abel seemed to know their roles. The driving force in them to accomplish the works of their hands appears to be a natural ability You gave them.  

Spirit, stir up in us a holy desire to do the things You’ve called us to with an excellence and righteousness that brings You pleasure and glory. May it also bring us pleasure and let others see Your creative fingerprints all over these creations. May continual REVELATIONS come to us to accomplish Your garden-fresh inspirations all day long. Let them flow like a soft, soaking rain to a dry and parched earth. Let the labor of love performed by our hands drive away the poverty of heart in the decaying world around us.
