Matthew 4:5-7 “Then the devil took Him up into the holy city, set Him on the pinnacle of the temple, and said to Him, ‘If You are the Son of God, throw Yourself down. For it is written: ‘He shall give His angels charge over you,’ and, ‘In their hands they shall bear you up, lest you dash your foot against a stone.’ Jesus said to him, ‘It is written again, ‘You shall not tempt the Lord your God.’ ”

Father, it is never our position to tell You what to do. Forgive us for all the times we have taken the position of control and manipulation, ignoring the promptings of Spirit to surrender to Your Will. In that position we are outside the walls of Your courts of protection and fail to connection with Your life giving heart and satisfying fellowship. We move into isolation as the fear takes over our minds and lives. For whatever we fear, we draw to us or others. Healthy fear … Fear of You (losing connection with You) is exactly what we want to draw to us: YOU!

Spirit, may we receive today REVELATIONS of the depths of real living that comes from the Fear of You. May this fear bring us fresh wisdom and understanding of how to live right. Don’t let us throw ourselves down in adoration before anything of this earth. We don’t want to be put back into a prison of misery that breeds isolation from You. We desire solitude in spirit with You that breeds abundant life in our bodies and soul. This is where the fullness of our being well comes from. For You will bear us up to endure the weight of the blows that this world gives when we are surrendered to Your Will and Ways. If we really want to follow You, we must deny ourselves (our flesh controlled life of our way … or someone else’s way) and pick up our cross (the evidence of our obedience to You when You whisper this is the way, walk in it). If we follow where You’ve been Jesus, we will find where You are. Let there be the fullness of joy as we gather with You there, our triune God! In Yahushua HaMashiach’s name. (Jesus the Messiah)
