Matthew 4:1-4 “Then Jesus was led up by the Spirit into the wilderness to be tempted by the devil. And when He had fasted forty days and forty nights, afterward He was hungry. Now when the tempter came to Him, he said, ‘If You are the Son of God, command that these stones become bread.’ But He answered and said, ‘It is written, ‘Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceeds from the mouth of God.’ ”

Father, to be led by Spirit is to be led victoriously, every time! We cannot fail in Your kingdom when we submit and surrender to You and Your ways. To know You is to know Your Word. Not just head knowledge of Your Word and Truth but a heart condition that is full of humility and desire to obey You from a place of worship and honor. You see the depths of our heart and where our allegiances are formed. Nothing hidden will not be exposed. It is like we get to go to the front of the line when we bow low before You. You know that position can be trusted to lead others in the paths of righteousness. What a great sense to be called to lead those following behind as we influence the atmosphere for Your kingdom purposes. It is not in Your nature to bring someone to the front of Your Word fulfilling line who refuses You…who chooses not to submit and surrender to Your promptings that will pour wisdom on them how to pass the trials, tribulations, and tests in front of them. But it is in Your nature to bestow kindness and forgiveness when we fall down, truly repent and get back up again. For Your mercies are new every morning and You are so faithful! You are the God of second chances!

Spirit, fill us with REVELATIONS of the importance of knowing Your Word that we may win the battles when the deceiver comes to tempt us away from Your seed purposes planted in us. Let that be the driving force that causes us to fall before You every day, hungry to be fed from the Your hand and heart the delicate yet powerful morsels of Your life-giving Word. Don’t let our flesh be falsely satisfied and honestly tormented a moment longer with the fake and painful cuisines of this world. For those fares are from the evil one’s lies, deceptions, and betrayals that work to assassinate Your seed purposes. It won’t be by might or by strength that we will be victorious in these slayings, but by the power of You, Spirit of God, manifesting through us as we destroy the works of darkness.
