I started making and selling Allie’s Smoothies at my work over 5 years ago and it has been my pleasure watching clients fall in love with smoothies and and wish to make their own healthy versions at home! My goal is to get all the smoothie recipes on here, but to start I’ll share my Cherry Almond Chunk recipe 😜
Ingredients:
- 1/2-1 cup of frozen organic cherries
- 3/4-1 cup of crushed ice
- Water
- 1 serving of chocolate protein powder (this is the one I use at work!)
- 1 tbs. of organic cacao powder
- 2 tsp. Barlean’s flax oil or 1/2 an avocado
- 1-2 droppers of liquid stevia (I like it sweet!)
- 12-14 raw almonds
Directions:
- Measure the frozen fruit, ice, and water in your smoothie cup
- Dump the cup in your Vitamix blender
- Add your protein powder, cacao powder, flax oil or avocado, and liquid stevia
- Blend until it comes out creamy and a little thick
- Add 12-14 almonds and blend on low for 10-15 seconds (you want to blend it long enough so the almonds cut crushed enough to fit in your sipping straw)
- Top with cacao nibs and enjoy!
